lost license to dui in Michigan 5 years ago?

never bothered to get it reinstated paid all fine and completed everything mandated by the court system. I. didn’t take the final step of going before the sec state/DMV for reinstatement. Moved to Wisconsin. I understand Wisconsin and Michigan do not share information?

My question is will i have to fly back to Michigan and go through the year long process there, or can i get a license here in Wisconsin.

All moral ethical judgment aside please I was newly 21 at the time.which doesn’t excuse anything but i have learned my lesson.

. Will Wisconsin be able to find out and if so what will they require if anything. I am more then willing to provide proof of alcohol counseling or even go through another one for Wisconsin should they need, i just do not want to have to back and live in Michigan.

This is a feeler step before retaining a local atty.

Thanks

Thanks

Start with the DMV n Michigan. Odds are you can be reinstated there and transfer without going back
